i have a limited number (only a handful of each!) of custom powdercoated and screenprinted minis & TAFMs available!
also, some FUCK MOUNTAINS! these are dual overdrives comprised of both a mini and (what-was-to-be) mountain range. the mountain range is voiced somewhat similarly to the mini, but with a different tone control (big muff based, with a mids toggle) and a different overall feel – they work marvelously together in series or by switching back and forth as complimentary low gain/high gain tones. i have a small number of either sanded aluminum with black screenprinted graphics or raw aluminum with a white screened background and black screened graphics.
• controls for the mini are standard: bass, treble, bias, gain, volume, bypass
• controls for the mountain range: pregain, gain, tone, volume, mids toggle, starve toggle, bypass
• global controls include an order toggle (mini>MR or MR>mini) and (if requested) a master bypass.
• top mounted in/out/power jacks.
i will be building/shipping these as orders come in but will ship 2 weeks from ordering at the latest – see paypal button below.

i am donating two pedals for VERY different reasons this week.
first is a custom color (black sparkle powdercoat with screenprinted sea-green graphics) TAFM to relief for victims of the devastating tornado disaster in Moore, OK which has been put together by resident Oklahoma effects builders, Walrus Audio.
click through to their site for two ways to help out – by purchasing a $5 (or multiple) raffle ticket to win a massive pedal board featuring pedals from Barber, Blakemore Effects, Caroline Guitars, Diamond, Dr. Scientist, Dwarfcraft, Earthquaker Devices, Emerson Custom Guitars, Empress, JHS, MojoHand FX, Mr. Black, Pigtronix, SolidGoldFX, Strymon, Voodoo Labs, Walrus Audio and cables by Lava Cables OR by purchasing a very fine $20 T-Shirt. All of the proceeds will be going to the Oklahoma Red Cross.

EffectsDatabase 10-Year Anniversary
second is a standard finish mini to the more light-hearted and personal 10-Year anniversary of Discofreq’s EffectsDatabase, an extremely thorough collection of information on almost every effects pedal you can think of. i have frequented the site for many, many years so i only felt it natural to give a little something back to Bart and all the hard work he has put into the site. there are almost 3 dozen builders donating pedals, so i won’t list them all here…

it blows my mind that it has already been a year since the last trenton ave arts fest and kinetic sculpture derby, but time sure does fly… i’ll have a little booth there for philadelphia folks to try out pedals via headphones with guitar/keyboard and will have some cheap(!) pedals for sale as well that are not part of my standard line – most likely some simple boosts. if you’re in the area, come out to hang and nerd out with me!

happy friday! smallsound/bigsound pedals can now be found in the UK at Joe’s Pedals! i’m proud to be included in the roster of excellent manufacturers that he represents… after all, how can you resist the ever-present smile in his logo? from his about page:
“Joe’s Pedals has come about as a result of my personal passion for the humble stompbox. Having played in bands, toured continents and spent 13 years building the pedal business at Vintage and Rare Guitars in London, I have been able to immerse myself into sampling as many different brands, models and types as possible. I have built up a good knowledge base of what works well in different situations, with different rigs and down to personal preferences.
I have helped and advised pro musicians, aspiring players, those on the quest of tone, partners wanting that perfect present and anyone who is looking for a quality pedal to suit their needs.”
also, joe made this really cool logo for me by just taking a piece from the left-side of my site… i never even thought about it! amazing all around.
